13Worship, Gifts, and Love

Paul corrects abuses of the Lord's Supper and addresses spiritual gifts: every believer has gifts, no gift is superior. Chapter 13 — the "love chapter" — defines love as the necessary context for every gift.

13:4–7Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. ESV

Chapter 14 regulates tongues and prophecy, keeping order at the center of communal worship.

System notes for Claude Design: rubric red (#7A2E2E) is reserved for section numerals, verse superscripts, and eyebrows only — never large fills. Margin rail is always indigo, always right-aligned, always the cross-reference/symbolism zone. Chapter sequence bar length should scale to each book's actual chapter count. Drop the rubric-numbered circle motif on every major heading across all 66 books for series consistency.
